Jump Bird 2025
A downloadable game
This is a remake of a game from 1984, coded by Matthias Törk and published by 64'er Magazin as the "Listing of the Month." Great job by Matthias, and I love that game!
After more than 40 years, I coded my own version of this game with new levels and some extras.
This game also includes the original levels.
Have fun, and drop me a line if you like it or if you find a bug... (there’s always one left!)
Best is to use VICE for playing the game.
You can use a Joystick in Port 2 but I suggest to play with keyboard:
W and S: climb ropes, ladders
A and D: left and right
Q and E: jump left and right
SPACE: jump
There is also a cheat mode... try to figure it out! ;-)

Nice and fun game, the new levels are good. I added it to my new video with other recently released games. Hope you like it.
Thanks! Glad you like it!
From which level are the new levels?
The new ones starting by 1 till 14. You have to choose 2 for "endgame" for the new levels. If you choose 1 you can play the old ones only.
Ha, I remember that! Totally forgotten, but I typed that in back then. Well, this is a walk down momory lane!
Found out about all your other C64 games just now - must have slipped me by because the AI generated teaser pics look so little 64er-style.
Bought them all now!
Thanks for your support! Jump Man/Spring Vogel was one of my first games I played on C64. I typed it out of the 64'er magazine. Loved it and created a lot of levels. It's ooo long ago.
Could you do jump, by using the fire button only, and not having to push up?
yes, possible. But it makes it harder to play to be honest. The movement gets much more tricky with that. Believe me you won't to have it like that.
Thanks, I'll see if I can get the hang of it.
I programmed the game for keyboard only and implemented the joystick movement later because of suggestion of a tester. To ber honest it drove me nuts to implement it afterwards... hahaha
A cool little game in the style of the early '80s.
The game is engaging, and it's also nice that each level features different colors and a different arrangement of elements, which keeps it from becoming monotonous. We're keeping our fingers crossed for more successful releases in the future. We'll review your game in the "Fresh News" section of the upcoming issue of our magazine.
